Here are a few reasons why you should have a website for your church.
If you have information pamphlets and brochures, you obviously need people to hand them out. If your material is on the web, you have a permanent delivery method that is handing out your info 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Your information is very easily updated whenever it needs to be. Best of all there are no printing costs involved if you distribute your information via your website!
A website is a reliable contact point. This means that whenever someone is interested in contacting your church, the information is always available, always current and always convenient. You can have names, phone numbers, e-mail addresses and street addresses posted. You can even have a map with driving directions to your church on your website.

A website is a good way to help new people within your community find your church. It offers visitors an unobtrusive way to find out information about your church and the programs you offer. Your church website opens up a whole new avenue of ministry in which church members can use their abilities. It allows your pastor to comment quickly on current issues. Your site gives you a public place to keep useful resources such as your missions and outreach programs and your newsletter.
If you want your church to grow, then you need to get your information in front of as many people as possible. Let us help you build a website for your church.
Design Your Site for Non-Christians By: Mike Marinaro
Most church websites are designed for their members and exclude non-Christians because of the religious language used and content of site. This is a BIG mistake. If your website is doing this you are missing a great Evangalistic opportunity to reach out to the non-Christian population in your area!
Your church website should create a sense of welcome to outsiders as well as your members. It should identify with the local community. Try to avoid 'churchy' jargon and religious language, especially on your home page.
Speaking about your home page, here is rule number 1 in website design. Remember your home page should be short and to the point. Think of it as the portal to your website. People do not want to have to scroll down through endless paragraphs of text trying to figure out what your website is all about.
Your home page should have your church address and phone number listed in plain site as well as a link for directions to your church. You should also have the service times listed on your home page.
Other things like ministries and upcoming events should all be on a page of their own. Your home page should have links to these other pages with an easy to use navigation system.
